Where to Stay in Glastonbury

Glastonbury has places to stay in the town centre, car-friendly options on the edge and bases in Wells and Cheddar. This page sorts them by location.

Where to stay in Glastonbury

Choose by location first. A room in the centre lets you walk to the High Street and the Abbey. A hotel with its own parking suits a car trip. Wells and Cheddar can work as bases, but they depend on bus times.

This page names a few places as examples of each location. It is not a ranking, and it does not promise availability or prices. Check rooms and rates with the accommodation for your dates.

The town centre

On foot from your door.

George and Pilgrims Inn

The inn offers bedrooms at 1 High Street. The address puts it in the town centre, among the shops. It is an example of a central base, not a recommendation, and rates and availability change by date.

What the centre gives you

The Abbey entrance is on Magdalene Street, in the town centre. Chalice Well gives walking times of 5 minutes from the top of the High Street and 10 minutes from the Town Hall. Those are the operator's own figures.

A hotel with parking

Premier Inn Glastonbury offers free parking at the hotel. You must register your number plate at the tablet in reception, and the car park is checked by number plate recognition. This is for hotel guests only, so do not treat it as free parking for visitors.

If you drive, also read the getting there page. It lists the town car parks and what they cost.

Retreat accommodation at Chalice Well

Little St Michael's is a retreat house run by Chalice Well, and only Companions can book it. It is not a general hotel.

The individual price is ยฃ80 per person per night, with a minimum of 2 nights. These prices are valid until 31 March 2027. Groups pay ยฃ750 per night with a minimum of 3 nights, and the group availability for 2026 is full. Do not read these prices as a festival rate.

Read more about the gardens on the Chalice Well page.

Wells and Cheddar as bases

The bus links work, but they limit your evenings.

Wells

Bus 376 joins Wells and Glastonbury. On the weekday example in the timetable valid from 21 September 2026, the bus leaves Wells at 10:45 and reaches Glastonbury Town Hall at 11:06. Check the last bus back before you book a room.

Cheddar

Bus 126 joins Cheddar with Wells, so a trip to Glastonbury needs a change. Plan the last connection in advance.

During the festival

Glastonbury Festival is a separate matter.

Hotel is not a ticket

A hotel booking does not replace a personal festival ticket. The 2027 festival runs from 23 to 27 June on Worthy Farm, and the ticket is sold out, with an official resale of returned tickets announced for spring 2027.

Camping is included

The ticket includes 5 nights of camping. Read the festival camping page before you book a room as well.

Getting from a hotel to the site

No direct transport from the towns to the festival is confirmed for 2027, and late-night returns to a hotel are not confirmed. Read the festival tickets page and the festival's transport information first.
