Glastonbury camping at a glance

Camping is for festival ticket holders on Worthy Farm. There is no festival in 2026, and the next edition is planned for 23 to 27 June 2027. The 2027 tickets are listed as sold out, so a camping place depends on getting a ticket through the organisers' official channels first. This site does not sell tickets or camping.

This page is an independent summary of what the organisers have published. Details for 2027, such as field choice, showers and power, may still change, so read the organisers' current information before you pack. The town of Glastonbury is a different place, and its car parks are not campsites.

Rules that catch people out

Check these before you buy anything.

The vehicle must qualify

A campervan needs a fixed place to sleep plus fixed cooking or washing facilities. A tent alone does not meet this rule.

Coach and campervan do not mix

If you buy a coach ticket, you must use your assigned coach trip. It cannot be turned into general admission, and you cannot add a campervan ticket.

The car park pass is separate

A parking pass costs £60, plus £3 postage and packing, and you buy it separately. The organisers say it is bought when you pay the balance in April 2027. The balance window runs from 1 April 2027 at 09:00 BST to 7 April 2027 at 23:59 BST.

Children

Children up to and including 12 enter without a ticket. Anyone under 16 must be with a responsible adult aged 18 or over.

Town car parks are not campsites

The council pages for Butt Close and St John's car parks in Glastonbury give no permission to sleep or camp. They are for parking, and each occupied bay is charged.

What June weather usually does

The Met Office long-term averages for Yeovilton, the regional reference station for Somerset, cover 1991 to 2020. They are not a forecast for June 2027 and not a record for Glastonbury itself.

  • June: average daily high 19.9°C, average daily low 10.3°C, about 57 mm of rain over the month.
  • July: the highest average daily high of the year, 21.9°C.
  • May: the lowest average monthly rainfall in the table, 47 mm.

The averages say nothing about rain on a given day. Pack for a cool night and for rain, and for sun as well. Your tent must stay up in wind and in mud.

Before you pack

A short checklist, in the order you will need it.

1. Register and get a ticket

Registration is free and needs contact details and a passport-style photo. It is required for everyone aged 13 or over. Tickets are personalised and cannot be passed on.

2. Pay the balance in the window

The deposit is £100 per person and the balance is £308 plus postage. The window opens on 1 April 2027 at 09:00 BST and closes on 7 April 2027 at 23:59 BST.

3. Read the 2027 camping information

Field choice, power and showers are set by the organisers and can differ from earlier years. Do not rely on 2025 details. Look at the organisers' current pages.

4. Plan the journey

Decide between coach, car pass and public transport early. The getting there guide lists buses and town car parks.

Glastonbury camping: frequently asked questions

How much is a campervan ticket?

What counts as a campervan?

A vehicle with a fixed place to sleep and fixed cooking or washing facilities. Check the organisers' current rules for your vehicle.
