Glastonbury Festival in brief

The festival takes place on Worthy Farm, not in the town of Glastonbury. The Abbey, the Tor and the High Street are a separate trip, and the town is not the festival site. 2026 is a fallow year, so nothing is happening on the farm this summer. The organisers say the next edition runs from Wednesday 23 June to Sunday 27 June 2027.

This site is an independent guide. It is not the festival's website and has no connection to the organisers or to any ticket seller. All ticket information here comes from the organisers' own announcements, and it is a summary, not a booking service. Check the organisers' website for anything you plan to rely on.

Ticket status for 2027

What the organisers have announced so far.

Sold out

The organisers list the 2027 tickets as sold out. The main sales took place on 1 October 2026 for coach tickets and on 4 October 2026 for general admission. Those dates are in the past and are not a booking offer.

Official resale in spring 2027

The organisers announce a resale of returned tickets in spring 2027. No exact day or time is given. Only the organisers' official resale counts.

Registration

Registration is free and needs contact details and a passport-style photo. Everyone aged 13 or over must be registered. Tickets carry a photo and cannot be transferred.

Children

Children up to and including 12 enter without a ticket or registration. Anyone under 16 must come with a responsible adult aged 18 or over.

Read the full details on the festival tickets page and the 2027 planning page.

Our picks: a walk in town around the festival

The festival is on Worthy Farm, so this guided walk shows you the town itself: the Abbey gates, the Tor and Chalice Well.

What a festival ticket costs

Two published prices, from different years. Do not mix them up.

EditionTicketBooking feeTotal before postage
2025£373.50£5£378.50
2027£403£5£408

The 2027 price is announced with £11.25 for postage and packing per order, and £3 for coach tickets. You can pay a £100 deposit per person. The balance of £308 plus postage is due in a window from 1 April 2027 at 09:00 BST to 7 April 2027 at 23:59 BST. The 2025 figure is shown only for comparison and is not an offer.

Beware of unofficial tickets

Private resale is not allowed.

Only the organisers sell tickets

The organisers say tickets are sold only through their official channel, and private resale is forbidden. Because tickets carry a name and a photo, a ticket bought from a stranger is not valid for you.

Do not pay anyone else

This site does not recommend resellers, resale platforms or third-party ticket sites, and it does not link to any. If an offer appears on social media or a marketplace, treat it as unofficial.

Coach and campervan rules

A coach ticket holder must use the assigned coach and cannot buy a campervan ticket. A coach seat cannot be changed into general admission.

Getting to the festival

Transport rules change from year to year.

Train and shuttle

The National Trust names Castle Cary as the nearest station for the Tor. For the festival, the organisers have run a free shuttle for ticket holders between Castle Cary and Gate A, Wednesday to Monday, with no trips at night when no trains run. That was the 2025 offer. The 2027 bus plan is not yet confirmed.

Coach

Coach seats are sold separately and paid for in addition to the ticket. You must use the coach trip you are assigned.

Car

The 2027 car park pass costs £60, plus £3 postage and packing, and is ordered separately when you pay the balance.

Staying in town

A hotel room does not replace a festival ticket. Rooms in Glastonbury, Wells and Cheddar need a separate check of the last buses. Do not assume a late-night return from the farm. See where to stay.
